Google enhances Gmail Voice capability, Adds Click-To-Call
Google has recently enhanced its Gmail voice capability for users by including a voice calling feature, which enables users to click directly on phone numbers to call people instead of having to type a number in manually or use copy & paste. This has been achieved by Google by making telephone numbers within Gmail links, which when clicked, open up the voice and video plugin (you need to install this).
This feature is available only within Gmail chats and messages at this moment in time, however the potential for future updates enabling all phone numbers links in Gmail is likely. The potential for this feature to also make its way over to Google Apps accounts and other services in the near future is likely, too.
