Google & Facebook In Talks to take over Twitter
Ooooooh how we love a corporate take over (*HP*), and it now seems that the latest meeting being flown to includes Google and Facebook being in talks with Twitter, with discussions being held around a takeover of the hit social news website.
All of this is according to the Wall Street Journal, who have published a report surrounding just this. So far, the report concludes that the talks haven’t progressed very far, however one interesting thing to note is that Twitter is currently being valued at £6.3 Billion, where as before December, it was valued at half of that.
This news comes under our category of ‘hmm, not so sure’ due to Twitter’s board generally wanting to keep Twitter private and away from other technology companies. We’ll just have to wait and see, though.
