Google hiring people to write apps for Android?
Well isn’t this a surprise? Google appears to have hired “dozens” of developers to boost the quality levels of the Android market. This comes as news from a report by The Wall Street Journal, who transpired that Google is reaching out and paying for developers to work extra hard on quality apps to showcase the platform. Clearly Google see’s that the market has more than enough apps to go around but this seems to be a move similar to the Nexus One in which Google aims to set a minimum standard for other people to build on top of. It’s an interesting move, for sure. Let’s see how all this pans out.
