android honeycombAre you an Android developer itching to get your greasy keyboard bashing mits on Google’s latest version of the Android software 3.0 Honeycomb? Well regrettably you’ll have to wait.

Google has announced that (or rather Andy Rubin has announced) that Honeycomb is simply not ready for would be developers yet, stating that “While we’re excited to offer these new features to Android tablets, we have more work to do before we can deliver them to other device types including phones. Until then, we’ve decided not to release Honeycomb to open source,”.

According to Tech Radar, Rubin went on further to say that releasing the OS for other devices would result in a bad user experience for Android fans and added that his team has no idea whether the OS would work on mobile phones.
