Google Honeycomb Will Be Open Source, Says Andy Rubin

Hitting back against recent claims that Google is with-holding the Honeycomb source code from developers and news coverage regarding Google Honeycomb not being ready for developers, Andy Rubin, the top dog at Google Android, has said that ”there are no lock-downs or restrictions against customizing UIs” nor “any efforts to standardize the platform on any single chipset architecture” within Honeycomb.
On the whole Andy Rubin went on to further say that Google’s view of open source has not changed since day one and Honeycomb will be just as open as any other version of Android has been, which is great news for developers.
