In case you didn’t know Google partnered in a search deal with Mozilla recently to make Google search the default search engine within the Mozilla Firefox browser and according to recent reports, the deal has been estimated to have cost Google £191 million with the price being driven up due to competition from Yahoo! and Bing. The deal itself is set to last for 3 years and will allow Mozilla to safely stay afloat for the duration of the deal.

“We’re pleased to announce that we have negotiated a significant and mutually beneficial revenue agreement with Google,” said Mozilla through a blog post.

Although unlikely candidates for a partnership bearing in mind Google’s Chrome browser directly competes with Mozilla’s Firefox browser, this latest deal marks another case for a world where heavy weights can work together.
