[ 0 ] Posted by on November 19, 2010

Yesterday Google launched Boutiques.com, it’s currently only available in the US; but will be available to other countries in the future. I think it’s time to compare broadband providers!

Boutiques.com allows users to create and build their own personal boutiques and shopping experiences that can be admired and followed by other users. You can follow fashion boutiquesof celebrities, designers, bloggers and retailers as well as your friends of course!

The site extracts content from both independent and larger fashion retailers. The collections of fashion are decided by trend setters and notable members of the fashion industry. These people include celebrities, fashion bloggers and designers.

There are various questions about the users fashion and taste to help the site identify and match the user’s style preference before making suggestions.

These are the basic steps to follow to allow an individual to create their own online boutique:

Step 1 – Stylyzer: You are shown 2 pictures depicting different styles and asked to pick the one you can relate to more.

Step 2 – Loves & Hates for dresses – You are shown a selection of dress styles and pick your

favourites in terms of silhouette, patterns and colors that you love and hate! This will make sure no suggestions are made to you which you will dismiss immediately.

The same process is applied for Step 3 – Tops, Step 4 – Bottoms and Step 5 – Shoes.

Finally Step 3 – Designers allow you to select your loved and hated designers, ranging across fashion from street to classic chic.

Boutiques.com allows the user to share their fashion finds with friends via email or Twitter.

Users can save fashion pieces they like. There is a save function so users can save their desired pieces. This is an ideal attribute for high broadband users and is taking online shopping to a whole new level. Click here to compare broadband providers.

This is the new, innovative and interactive way to shop and share fashion tastes without leaving the comfort of your living room.

Do you think this is going to change the way you shop?
