How to Resolve your Broadband Speed Issues

Have you been noticing some strange problems with your broadband internet lately, or do you think you aren’t getting the speed you used to get when you first took out your broadband?
Let me share my story with you so that you know where I’m coming from; I bought a new computer a few years ago, I installed some cool apps on it and used it for a while. After a few weeks, I purchased an internet connection to use with my computer and the speed was so great. I was surprised one day when I noticed a drastic decrease in the internet speed I’m getting in comparison to what I used to get. I thought the problem was temporary and with my ISP, so I did nothing. The problem continued for weeks, and I called my ISP to find out what’s wrong only to be told there was nothing. It was then that I took some steps to improve the speed.
As a broadband internet user, I was expecting faster internet speeds always, but I was surprised to see what a few deadly mistakes can cause. This article will be giving you some quality tips to help you resolve your broadband speed issues.
Uninstall Uncooperative Apps from Your Computer
First things first; you need to face the reality that, sometimes, the reason for your internet connection being slow is your computer. A lot of people do several things whenever their internet is slow, including blaming their ISPs, but one thing very few people do is look into their computer.
A great step you can take to resolve your broadband speed issues is to tweak your computer to improve its performance, and one great way to do that is by uninstalling uncooperative apps that hamper your computer speed.
Get a Better Browser
You can also ensure your internet connection is faster by getting a better browser. You might be wondering how your browser can influence your internet speed, but you will be surprised. I used to be a Mozilla Firefox user until recently; I started noticing my internet connection become slowly, and my browser started to hang at intervals. I was confused, as I didn’t know what is happening. Suddenly, I realized that the problem isn’t with my computer, neither is it with my internet (because speed tests still show that my internet is fast). What I did was to change to the Google Chrome browser and my internet speed increased significantly. Sometimes, what you need is a better browser.
Try Wired Internet if You’re Using Wireless
If you’re connecting to the internet wirelessly then the problem might indeed be with your network, but not with the server computer. What I mean by the problem being with your network is that your wireless signals is being affected by interference or you’re not being near to the server computer, and you can easily improve this by moving closer to your wireless network. You can even take a better step and go wired, and you will be surprised to see how much that can improve your internet speed.
