HP TouchPad Go 7″ gets fondled in China, groped for good measure

HP TouchPad Go

There really isn’t any point to this news; in fact, this news is about as breaking as the UK X Factor being a little bit late to air the other night (i.e. unimportant, yet it still made people ‘angry’). This then isn’t coverage of HP bringing the TouchPad brand back from the dead in a miraculous turn of events, but rather some chap over in China getting some hands on time with an un-released 7-inch HP tablet running webOS. The TouchPad Go tablet features a welcome matte-plastic back unlike its bigger brother which attracts more fingerprints than the inside of a glove, and a 5-megapixel snapper towards the rear. Of course, gorilla glass, GPS and 3G are also included. I’m not so sure whether a real market ready HP TouchPad Go will ever be available in the future, however if HP wanted to re-tap the tablet market, a Kindle Fire competitor for under £200 running webOS would be most welcome*.

Take note HP*.
