HTC Quattro tablet will feature quad-core CPU, not four-wheel drive

Although you may think with a name like the HTC Quattro this could be a sign of the Taiwanese company breaking in to the car industry and snapping up Audi’s trademark in a cheeky move, they aren’t. Nope, in a recent leak from Pocket Now the HTC Quattro is set to be a quad-core tablet pc sporting a 1024×768 10.1 inch display and 1GB of ram to keep all that Sense UI and Android 4.0 Ice Cream scrolling smoothly. Storage wise, this tablet will apparently get a tasty 16GB and multimedia wise Dr. Dre Beats built right in, as well as a complimentary pair of headphones to rock on the commute.
Interested? Well details are sketchy as to any release date or announcement currently but we’ll keep you abreast (or two, ha ha) of any further information. So far, early 2012 looks likely but to make this product sell the tablet is going to have to be lower than $499, or sport at least 32GB of on-board storage.
