HulloMail launches anti phone-hacking voicemail upgrade
London, UK: 20th October 2011 - HulloMail™ (www.hullomail.com), the specialist voice messaging company, has today launched a new version of its SmartVoicemail™ service designed to provide protection against unauthorised and undetectable access to private mobile phone voice messages.
The new Access Control feature allows HulloMail users to block all ‘call-in access’ to voicemails so messages are only retrieved from within the HulloMail app and email. Additionally, users may opt to receive a notification if an attempt is made to access their private voicemail providing a complete audit trail and additional peace of mind regarding the privacy of their voice messages. Users also have the option to switch-off online access to messages via their ‘My HulloMail’ portal. Andy Munarriz, founder and CEO, HulloMail said, “After reading the high-profile reports regarding the various phone hacking cases, we wanted to provide a service which would give our customers total confidence in the security of their voicemail account. The new Access Control features provide peace of mind that what has been happening recently with poorly secured voicemail services is preventable. Any attempts to access an account are instantly detected and the user notified immediately.”The Access Control features complement HulloMail’s existing access safeguards, which includes the enforcement of PIN number access for those users wishing to dial-in to access voice messages. Concludes Andy Munarriz, “The Access Control advancement is simply unequalled by the mobile network operators and other third party voicemail providers. It will provide significant peace of mind to our individual subscribers. In addition, for business and corporate users the new features help to provide protection against possible corporate espionage or similar scenarios in the future.”The Access Control feature is initially available for existing subscribers of the HulloMail SmartVoicemail™ Android and iPhone apps available to download from the iPhone, and Android app stores for an annual fee of £5.99 GBP UK, €6.99 Euros in Europe and $8.99 USD in the USA/worldwide.For more information regarding HulloMail, visit www.hullomail.com.
