It’s about time: Intel Announces new Atom Processors
Intel has unveiled that there will be a new line-up to the now ‘getting samey’ Atom Processors.
The new additions, which will include a Dual Core Atom Processor (Hooray) will integrate graphic processors and memory controllers into their CPU’s – they will be available early 2010.
The Dual Core Atom will run at 1.66 Ghz respectively, whilst the single core versions 1.33 Ghz.
They are designed to be more power efficient, faster and provide improved graphics. The new processors will be included within Netbooks and lower end desktops throughout 2010 ( this shouldn’t increase the price of the netbook too much, as the USP of them is their cheapness’).
Vendors for the new Intel line up include Asus, Acer, Advent, DELL, Lenova, Samung and Toshiba.
I think the 2010 line up of netbooks will be seriously hot, and as they will be faster will run W7 much better and efficiently.
Bring on 2010!

I got a netbook the other day, the new Acer, and love it. I think the new processor makes the battery last the way it does!
