Kindle 3 is Amazon’s best selling product, ever!
We all knew that Amazon’s Kindle ws a hot choice for an e-book reader, but we didn’t know exactly how much impact it had on the e-book reader market until now.
Amazon has just announced that the Kindle 3 is Amazon’s best selling product of all time, overtaking the seventh Harry Potter book – Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – as the top seller on Amazon.
Priced at the ludicrously tempting price of £109, the Kindle 3 has come at a time when other e-readers are twice its price. On the Kindle’s success, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos said:
We’re seeing that many of the people who are buying Kindles also own an LCD tablet. Customers report using their LCD tablets for games, movies, and web browsing and their Kindles for reading sessions.
Well, Mr. Bezos, we’d have to agree on that. Has anybody else found themselves squinting whilst looking at a Galaxy Tab or iPad in bed?
