Meet The Asus PadFone, Your Tablet And Smartphone In One
Do you ever stare longingly at your tablet wishing – and hoping – that somewhere within it was a concealed and removable smartphone? Well some of us do, and for those people Asus have come to the rescue in the much rumoured and now evidently real Asus PadFone. In terms of software it is so far unclear what version of Android this tablet would ever ship with, however what we do know is that the removable phone itself will contain the operating system, storage, and other components while the tablet will offer a larger screen and battery which will only work when the phone is inserted, a rather clever idea and one which could take the world by storm if the pricing gets pushed properly.
As you can see from the images the PadFone sports dual speakers and will almost probably be around the same thickness (a little more) as the HTC Flyer tab, as to fit in the smartphone. For those interested you can hit up a ton of detailed images here.
