Talks of next generation gaming consoles appear to have been quiet over the last 6 months due to jaw dropping game releases with the likes of Call of Duty: Black Ops and the latest Gran Turismo, which has caused people to question whether we really need anything more than we already have, but those previously quiet talks have now turned back in to furiously fast bashing keyboard fingers, because Microsoft have posted jobs for up to 6 Xbox developers which could mean there is a next generation console inbound.
But before you jump in the pool let’s make one thing clear, Microsoft have already announced they are keeping the 360 up until at least 2015, and so these jobs posted do not mean there is going to be a console any sooner than this date (although it would make us smile!). We personally are quite content with the standard of graphics on the current gen consoles, and even we doubt that the next gen consoles are going to see a significant increase in hardware power, despite the recent finance jobs listed.
The jobs posted are all for hardware engineers, specifically graphic’s architects, and you can see the exact job posting on the image above.PS: Digging this story, news or review? Let us know! Comments open.
