Microsoft wants you to drop XP, adopt Windows 7 instead

Love Windows XP? Still rocking it on your desktop? Is your name Fred? Well Microsoft wants you to stop running it and adopt Windows 7 by 2014, because they won’t be offering any more updates to the once flagship operating system after this. In a blog post, Microsoft’s Stephen L Rose made no hold backs surrounding the changing face of technology, citing that what took to be the best ten years ago just doesn’t cut it any more and that “Things get better, faster. And eventually, it’s time to move from good enough to something much better”.
This latest news comes after Microsoft announced they had sold 400 million licenses of Windows 7 since it’s launch not long back, and this latest blog post may just be Microsoft trying to push the boat out with their current most up to date software, hoping that businesses and consumers take note.
