Following on from our news coverage yesterday regarding Microsoft buying out Skype for an undisclosed sum things have just heated up and gotten official in the business world as Microsoft have announced the buyout officially, all for a cool sounding $8.5 billion.
Shaking hands and appearing to be new best friends, the deal itself was signed last night on May the 9th although the price was finalized on April the 18th of this year, and if you take a looksy at the image above you can see exactly what Microsoft’s plans for Skype are. Most notably, Microsoft’s latest investment will be playing a key role in gaming.
