MWC: Samsung Galaxy S II Unveiled, Rocks Dual-core 1GHz CPU

Well look what we have here! The official update to our favorite Android Smartphone of 2010, the Samsung Galaxy S. The Samsung Galaxy S II (well named, for sure) has just been unveiled at this years MWC 2011, and brings with it updates which are truly worthy to take over Samsung’s previous flagship Smartphone the Galaxy S.
The Samsung Galaxy S II has a lot to live up to to take over from it’s big brother the Galaxy S, but from our initial impressions we are confident that it more than does. The handset will be running Gingerbread with TouchWiz 4.0 (which looks like Samsung’s most refined version yet), and features expected to rock with this device include a 4.27-inch 800 x 480 SAMOLED Plus display (mmm), an 8 mega-pixel primary camera with 1080p video capture, a 2 mega-pixel cam up front and NFC Tech support.

Importantly for us the Galaxy S II is going to be kept running along nice and fast thank’s to a dual-core 1GHz Samsung chip, which could quite possibly be the Exynos processor, Samsung’s very first ‘green at heart’ processor made specifically with the environment in mind.

Check out the images we have provided to take a look at what this handset looks like, and you’ll see that this latest update to the Galaxy line is fantastically beautiful, with it’s 4.27 inch glass display taking up the majority of the device itself.
Likey? Yeah, we do too. It’ll be in store before you know it though, so don’t you worry.
