New Hotmail feature tackles ‘graymail’, can categorize newsletters
If you access the internet and websites just like ours a lot, then chances are you have built up quite the list of newsletters which hit your inbox daily, weekly or monthly. Truth be told, managing these can be a great hassle at times and even harder is distinguishing high quality newsletters against spam. This is why Hotmail has launched a new feature which is aimed at helping users tackle ‘graymail’, and the feature itself is built on the same SmartScreen technology which Hotmail uses to fight against spam. The feature, which will allow users to categorize and sort newsletters as well as unsubscribe to them straight from their inbox, will also allow people to contact the newsletter websites directly regarding whether they would like to receive any more updates from them.
Overall this new graymail feature is a win for us, and it is one feature which quite a few web based e-mail programmes could do with.
