New iPod Line Announced, new updates and ambitious designs

Yesterday Apple announced at it’s music event it’s brand new three updated iPods the iPod Touch, iPod Nano and Shuffle. With more shine than you could shake a stick at, the event was truly a gadget fiends wet dream as journalists across the world got to play with these new and updated iPods which will, undoubtedly, sell by the millions. For gadget lovers across the world yesterday heaven really was a place on earth.
In the process Apple has completely redesigned the iPod Nano in to a square chubby looking thing, with no click wheel in sight and a built in clip (obviously people do not want their iPod in their pocket, do they?). Turning heads, this latest re-design is Apple’s most ambitious yet and doesn’t really look too usable, either.
Design wise or rather vanity wise it looks okay, and naturally, looks fantastic with that Apple logo splashed on the back. Durable, sleek, shiny and ambitious are all words you could use to describe it, but I think ‘marmite’ is a better one because you will either love it or hate it.
Apple also announced the new iPod Shuffle who’s click wheel has returned to make it a more classic looking handset -on the iPod Classic actually it is still available at the Apple Store- and has also taken on the form of a square with a built in clip.
The true hero of the day yesterday however was the iPod Touch, which now sports the iPhone 4′s amazing screen and camera capabilities. Thinner, sleeker and more shiny than ever, the price of the new iPod Touch has increased a touch with the lesser spec’d 8GB version now costing £189 from the Apple Store. The thinness of the new iPod Touch is beyond belief, and after some consideration, had some journalists talking about it being ‘sturdy in the palm, however possibly snappable’: TB agrees.

Hi this is my first comment on this technology blog since reading it for 5 months daily.
I just wanted to say keep up the great to the point and personality ridden content, because too many sites are beginning to get on my nerves by a) advertising everywhere and b) being biased towards products.
For example, whilst I hate Apple products with all my worth, you do have to say that they are brilliantly designed and that is a point which I am sure many people will agree on.
Thank you.
Why not comment on all you read then? I do, it helps add to the blog, and gets you involved, which can be really fun!In relation to the article, that iPod looks really tidy!

While the updated design of the iPod Touch did seem to be the star, I don’t understand why they didn’t use the same camera from the iPhone 4? Was it just to keep it thinner?
@ Joe possibly. I don’t understand why Apple still uses that scratch prone chrome back for it’s iPod Touch line. Bad times, TBH. :/.
What are you, a commenting expert? lol
