Next Gen Atom Chip Updates Fast-Tracked
Do you ever look down at your Netbook whilst it’s sat on your lap and think you could use a little bit more speed? Well then you’ll get it sooner rather than later according to recent reports, which claim Intel has fast-tracked it’s Atom chip set architecture development to pump out updates faster.
All of this appears to be the signs of a market leader breaking a small sweat around competitors, after our recent technology news coverage regarding Apple possibly ditching Intel for ARM chips for their Macbook line. By the end of this Intel is expected to start to deliver products based on its new 22nm 3D design process with Ivy Bridge being the first product range to benefit from it.
