Nokia Ditches Nokia Sans Font, Introduces Nokia Pure
Everybody in the whole world knows that all familiar Nokia logo above, and the font itself used for that is Nokia Sans which is a product of the mid nineties. Now however Nokia seem to be ditching Nokia Sans completely for a whole new look (see image below) which looks, well, thin.
Nokia has even gone as far as to publish an 800-plus word explanation and defense of its decision to kill off Nokia Sans and replace it with Nokia Pure, a font it describes as the embodiment of “beauty in supreme usability”. This would lead one to presume that although they have publically announced the death of Nokia Sans, they themselves are unsure of their own changes.
