Opera Mini 5 for Android now available in Beta

Android users galore: Opera Mini 5 Beta is now available and up for download, and boasts a significant speed boost over version 4.2 by compressing data by up to 90 percent before sending content to the phone, resulting in significantly improved page loading speed, according to the company.
New features in Opera’s latest mobile browser, which is an upgrade to the current version 4.2, include advanced tabbed browsing, which lets users browse several Web pages at once; Speed Dial, which offers one-click access to a user’s favorite pages; Opera Link, a way to synchronize bookmarks and Speed Dial between the user’s mobile phone and desktop computer; and Download Manager, which manages downloads from the browser.

This comes as news as the Mozilla Corporation, whose latest development includes Firefox Mobile, edges further towards consumers hands. You can follow the Firefox Mobile project here; http://www.mozilla.com/en-GB/mobile/.
