Pioneer Dreambook Announced, Windows 7 Tablets Aren’t Dead

Well look what we have here, a Windows 7 Tablet which is actually going to find it’s way on to a shelf near you. It’s called the Pioneer Dreambook ePad F10, and it’s quoted as having 2GB of RAM, a 1.5 GHz Intel Z670 Oak Trail processor and a flash storage of 128mb.
Okay, granted this looks one heck of a lot like Apple’s iPad, however Pioneer has chosen to stock it with Windows 7 and ship it with a 10.1, 1024 x 600 resolution display. On top of that there’s a 1.3-Meg camera, an SD card slot and an 8 hour battery life on the specifications list.
Windows 7 Tablets aren’t Dead
Multiple hardware manufacturers have chosen to enter in to the Tablet PC market now, including Samsung, and they have all decided that Android is the way forward for the operating system to run on them, exceptions to this of course include Blackberry and HP, which will run their own OS’s respectively.
No mainstream Tablet PC’s however have so far run Windows 7 as their main OS from stock, which makes the Pioneer Dreambook a consumer first. From this day forth then Windows 7 Tablet’s aren’t dead, and consumers have yet more choice in the growing Tablet PC Market.
