Samsung chucks CyanogenMod Dev’s free Galaxy S II’s

It’s a fairly good day if you’re a CyanogenMod dev because Samsung has been giving out free handsets to anybody official, showing love for the first time towards custom ROM’s on Android smartphones. In a shock move, Samsung started handing out the free Galaxy S II’s starting with Atinm, the developer responsible for prepping CyanogenMod. Atinm took to Twitter on Samsung’s move, praising the hit smartphone manufacturer for the new move which will surely spur the custom ROM community even further.
Although current handset manufacturers stand on mutual terms towards the custom ROM community – not disagreeing or agreeing – Samsung is the first company to actively encourage it with free smartphones.
