Question
Should I buy a Windows Phone 7 Smartphone?
Answer
Windows Phone 7 is Microsofts latest operating system and comes as a huge update to their pre-existing OS as seen on the HTC HD2.
There have been numerous reviews on Windows Phone 7 and the general consensus has been that it looks great, seems highly business orientated, yet needs polishing and is missing key features which Android, RIM and iOS handsets have such as copy and paste.
That being said, reviewers seem to have missed something; they have talked about Windows Phone 7 as if this is the only version of it, and as if there will be no updates.
And on that note, yes you should buy a Windows Phone 7 handset if currently there are no Android devices that take your fancy. You should buy one knowing that Microsoft will readily update this OS to meet the needs of customers, but then again all that boils down to is if you can live for 3 – 4 months without copy and paste.
Notable absences from Windows Phone 7 are the ability to copy and paste text, and browser support for either Adobe’s Flash or HTML5-based video, although an app to play YouTube video is offered for download via the Zune Marketplace.
I personally would opt for the HTC HD7 when / if available to a store near you.
