Sky and Virgin set 3D Rental price plan, £6 a time

With the highly anticipated and rather imminent 3D home viewing experience about to hit our television laden rooms sometime soon, it seems only logical for companies such as Sky and Virgin to shed a little more light on the options we will have upon purchase – and the latest development is in the form of 3D rentals, which staggeringly are going to cost you and me £6 a time for 24 hours.
The first movie to be featured will be StreetDance 3D with plenty more titles to come; however the Blu-ray version of the StreetDance film is not true 3D, as you have to wear those ugly cheap and totally creasable 50′s paper version of the glasses, according to sources. Another thing to note is that at £6 a time, or rather if you buy 3 rentals at £6 a rental, you can buy the equivelant Blu-Ray film for that price and re-sell it or lend it out.
Personally, these prices are a bit steep. We’ll leave you to ponder on whether it is worth it.
