Solar plasma aurora storm didn’t end life today, obscurred by clowd anyway

Incase you didn’t know a few day ago the Sun had a paddy and unleashed a blast of solar plasma at Earth which struck Northern America and Europe, with a key country being the UK. Scientists insisted, naturally, that life ‘probably’ wouldn’t end due to the storm as earths magnetic field would protect all of us – and they were right.
Expecting sights similar the the Northern Lights which are a beautiful array of mesmerizing colours and shapes produced through electrons entering the earth’s upper atmosphere, where they encounter atoms of oxygen and nitrogen at altitudes from 20 to 200 miles above the earth’s surface, Technology Blogged was highly disapointed that due to the highly unreliable English weather, the whole thing was obscurred by clowd anyway.
Oh well, perhaps Northern America got a glimpse? And if so, damn you all for being so lucky.
