Solid Gold Nintendo Wii sells for £300,000
British designer Stuart Hughes, famous for his gold plating of iPods, has unveiled the ultimate gaming console.
Named ‘The Wii Supreme’ this completely unique gaming console recently sold for $485,000 to an un-named buyer.
The Wii Supreme uses over 2,500 grams of solid 22ct gold and the front buttons are home to 78 quarter-carat flawless diamonds totaling 19.5 ct !
Claimed to have taken over 6 months to be made, the Wii Supreme is quite literally every gamers utopia.
Other creations from Stuart Hughes include his solid gold iPod Touch which sells for $37,000 < And if thats just not bling enough there is a platinum and diamond version which is right up your street – All for a mere $40,000.
If you really want one of these, and have £300,00 to spare, you better hurry – because there is a limited number of three to be made.
I think its safe to say operators are standing by.

Thats crazy stuff.
Wow… I guess… 2500g = ~ 88 oz. Gold @ ~ $1100 USD/oz= $96 800 worth of shimmer plating, but it’s still not dust-proof…
No it isn’t ! Also gold tarnishes and loses its shine, how much will it cost to have its brilliance put back ?
It seems Netflix will finally find its way on to the Nintendo Wii (currently the only console without the rental streaming service). http://mashable.com/2010/01/08/netflix-on-nintendo/
Thatnks for the update!
