Sony Move beats Microsoft Kinect: Awards

Sony has won the first battle in this year’s motion gaming showdown, with PlayStation Move beating Microsoft’s Xbox Kinect to the best hardware accessory prize at the Gamescom 2010 expodition in Germany, a sign that good things could be coming for Sony, who have been shorthanded by Microsoft through sales.

The final decision was reached by a panel of German gaming industry experts who also awarded Gran Turismo 5 the best of Gamescom title and best console game, crushing Xbox only titles in to the ground.

With Christmas fast approaching this is a sure sign of good things to come from Sony, however with the majority of consumers buying gaming consoles being parents of children, Sony will have to promote this new award for anybody to really notice – apart from people reading this story, that is.
