Sponsored: Acer Unleashes New S5 Ultrabook Video, ‘Dynamite Cupcakes’

[ 2 ] Posted by on September 12, 2012

Acer are one of the most popular brands in the UK for laptops and their latest range of Ultrabooks such as the Acer Aspire S5, TimelineUltra M3 and M5 are excellent additions to the Ultrabook market where at this years’ IFA event in Berlin numerous new hybrid designs were showcased from multiple OEM’s.

In terms of the S5, this Ultrabook stands out amongst all others for one very good reason; it has a thunderbolt port, and there is no Ultrabook on the market currently that also features one, unless you count Apple Macbooks as competitors. The S5 features a rather unique ”MagicFlip I/O Port,” which pops out to reveal Thunderbolt, USB 3.0 and HDMI (high-definition multimedia interface) ports, as well as a black magnesium-aluminium chassis allowing it to weigh in at 1.2kg (2.65lbs).

With an ultrabook so very light and with a great array of ports, then, Acer need a marketing campaign to match. In the quest for grabbing your attention, the company have released a new video commercial which curiously features Kiefer Sutherland as lead role, desperately trying to create the perfect cupcake with the aid of his Acer branded ultra-portable.

I have embedded the rather unique video for you below to watch, titled dynamite cupcakes. Explosive for sure!

Well the video definitely is unique, i’ll give you that much. Something much needed to make the laptop stand up a bit and get a bit of attention from some unaware people.
