Tesla halting Roadster production, focuses on Model S
Oh my oh my, it is a sad day for anybody saving up for a new Tesla Roadster next year, after news has emerged that Tesla are to halt the production of its Tesla Roadster car, an automotive wonder which accelerates faster than a Lotus Elise (and i’ve only seen one once, in London). It’s not that the Roadster has had a bad life, or that it hasn’t sold, this news comes due to Tesla pushing its next car for sales; the Tesla Model S, which looks gorgeous (see image, above).
The Tesla Model S will go from 0 – 60mph in exactly 5.6 seconds, is good for 120mph, will carry you and a passenger 300 miles in between charges and does all this with 0 exhaust emissions. Overall we think the Roadster for the Model S is a fair trade in production terms. Looking for something sporty looking but not a Tesla? Check this out.
