Twitter buys up Tweetdeck, all for a cool $40 million
I love Tweetdeck on my iPhone for it’s slick UI and the ability to post to multiple network accounts. Having used the official Twitter app it didn’t really compare, and I think Twitter knew this, and have now bought Tweetdeck for a cool sounding $40 million bringing doubts as to what is going to happen to both the Tweetdeck app and also the business. Covered on Android Phones Blog, Twitter’s latest aquisition could be the signs of a company wanting to stamp out competition on mobile devices OR wanting to integrate Tweetdeck with their own app.
