Twitter’s new UI aims to make networking simpler, better, faster
Rolling out over the next few weeks across the world, Twitter has unveiled a new main site re-design which is aimed at making the social networking site simpler and more engaging to use for it’s end users. New elements include the navigational section ”Home”, “Connect”, “Discover” and “Me” and also a more streamlined overall design across the site. The new changes make for a more modern looking Twitter, and they tie in nicely with the now over a month new activity view. For those of you who use Tweetdeck to manage your daily Twitter’ing, Twitter has also updated this service to reflect the new elements above.
Overall a website refresh for Twitter has been on the cards for over 6 months now because in the world of social media, Twitter’s current website is starting to look a little bit dated compared to the likes of Stumbleupon, Digg and Google+ all of which look very modern indeed. Over in san francisco social media marketing and amongst all social media marketers, I think you’ll agree that with Twitter updating their site 2012 will be a year for extremely clean and easily navigational websites.
