Home Technology: Underfloor Heating

Underfloor heating is a great way to improve any home and has been in existence within the home improvement sphere for awhile now. This heating system is better for your health as traditional cast iron radiators and is environmentally friendly. It is also perfectly safe for small infants and helps warm your feet and keep your head cool. Easy to install and helping you to reduce energy bills significantly, underfloor heating is a great way to heat your home. But what are the kinds of this very efficient heating method on the market today?
Underfloor heating works in three different ways by using Electrical Underfloor Heating, Forced Air Underfloor Heating or Hydronic Underfloor Heating.
Electrical Underfloor Heating is fitted under the flooring of your home. Electrical current runs along a conductive cable and heat is evenly distributed throughout your a room. It is controlled by digital thermostats installed in each room, which in turn control room temperature.
Forced Air Underfloor Heating is the first ever kind of underfloor heating to have existed. Heated air is passed via a number of under floor ducts heated by air inside a furnace. They in turn heat the floor of your room. A digital thermostat also controls temperature, each room will be fitted with one as for electrical underfloor heating.
Hydronic Underfloor Heating is the last way underfloor heating works and is a process of low pressure warm water that is pumped around concealed pipe loops installed right underneath the floor. They are very easy to install whether when improving your home or building a contruction project from scratch. A hydronic under floor heating system is better then a radiator as it evenly spreads heat under the whole flooring area and doesn’t overheat or underheat a room.
