What will Android 4.5 / 5.0 be called, Jellybean?

Android Jelly Bean

Google does have a sense of humor you know, well evidenced through the naming of their Android operating system since it’s release in 2007. We’ve had Cupcake, Donut, Eclair, Froyo, Gingerbread, Honeycomb and Ice Cream Sandwich, so next on the list is a dessert beginning with the letter ‘J’. But what could it be? Well off the top of my well-rounded head, it could be four things, including Jelly Bean, Jello, Jelly Doughnut and Jelly Tart (with Jelly Bean sounding the best and also multiple hints online pointing to it).

Android 4.5 / 5.0 Jelly Bean(?) will build on the very polished operating system of Android Ice Cream Sandwich. Hot features on our list for Google’s next update include a full mobile Chrome browser, an out of the box SD or other memory card file manager, a ‘lite’ version of the operating system for single-core smartphones to rock (a bit like Windows 7 basic in netbook’s) and a huge emphasis surrounding optimizing the operating system to save battery life, as some Android totting smartphones simply don’t last long enough on Froyo or Gingerbread.

I’d place a bet on Jelly Bean or Jelly Donut, however mentioning Donut would bring people back to memories of a not so good OS.
