WHSmith enters e-reader market, teams up with Kobo to offer it

I always wondered when WHSmith would take action on the ever growing e-reader market because the likes of Amazon, and Barnes & Noble, are offering up such options in that consumers no longer have to walk in to a book store to purchase their favourite title. An answer to my WHSmith question today then appears to have been answered, as they have teamed up with Canadian firm Kobo to sell two e-book readers which will be priced at £89 and £110 respectively, matching that of Amazon’s Kindle, the most expensive of which is a touch screen device.

Key selling points over the Kindle include Kobo users having access to more than 2.2 million titles compared to Amazon’s 750,000, and the Kobo also has a similar battery life to the Kindle.
