Wireless charging could make wires redundant within 2 years

Wireless chargers could be in the hands of consumers within two years, which would allow people to charge multiple devices -mainly handheld gadgets- without the need for any messy wires, after the giant Japanese electronics firm Fujitsu has developed a wireless recharging system using magnetic technology which it hopes to begin selling worldwide in 2012.
Fujitsu’s system, which uses magnetic technology in a clever little way (or what they call a magnetic resonance method), uses a coil of wire and a capacitor to create a connection between the charger and the power receiver, which would have to be in the actual electronic device to work.
Fujitsu claims that this method of charging allows you to charge a device up to 150 times faster than the traditional method of ‘using wires’. On this, they said;
“This technology paves the way to integrating compact wireless charging functions into mobile phones and enabling multiple portable devices to be charged simultaneously without any restrictions on their position with respect to the charger”
“Developments are under way for a broad range of potential applications, charging everything from portable electronics to electric cars.”

Thanks for the comment you wrote on our blog. We really appricate it! Also, thanks for the publicity. Publicity is something we really appricate. Thanks again.Saeran - http://techtoday.zibity.com
Chris, apparently it is 150% faster at charging handheld devices. I myself have seen no die hard proof of it, but wireless charging has been around for ages in the form of prototypes.
Really! That’s pretty good!Surely the device that you use to charge the devices needs to be plugged in though???Jakk not on topic, but I keep sending you emails, and you never seem to be getting back to me, could they be caught as spam?Finally, the CommentLuv plugin might need upgrading, as it appears to be broken :$
