Yahoo Korea hints at mammoth Samsung handset, 5.3-inches of Super AMOLED?

The Galaxy Q will be a cross between the S II and Galaxy Tab (pictured).
Don’t get me started. On top of Samsung currently having the best display technology on the market and arguably the best displays in smartphones currently, the very prospect of a 5.3″ smartphone bearing the Samsung logo is certainly very appealing if a recent news story Yahoo Korea ran is to be believed. Codenamed the Galaxy Q, the handset itself would apparently pack a 5.3″ display (topping that of the Dell Streak) and is said to be a product filler to go in between the S II and 7″ Galaxy Tab, and also for people who can’t decide between a tablet and smartphone.
Specification wise this is just a rumour so it’s hard to judge what this smartphone would have, however a minimum resolution of 1280×800 pixels and Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread would almost certainly be on the cards as well as NFC and a scaled down version of Honeycomb.
