Youtube Offers Grant For Partners, Wants Higher Quality Content

Did you know that if Youtube were a search engine then it would be the second largest in the world, ahead of even Yahoo and Bing? Well that is quite the accomplishment it does have to be said, and now Youtube are offering a grant for partners to create content for Youtube, in a move probably aimed at the strive for higher quality original content.
Under the YouTube NextUP scheme, Youtube is offering up £441,000 worth of dosh to encourage digital talent in the UK, from creatives and techies alike. Announcing the scheme alongside Google at an event for partners in London, Claire Geddie, the audiovisual manager for the British Film Institute, said “Channels like YouTube offer new tools and ways to get your content seen, and using online channels should be a key part of your personal and organisational strategy.”
